Probably, you'd have to find a willing buyer that's trusting enough to take your word that your 24-character code actually works after-the-fact that money has already entered your pocket.
What about the early buyers of the 10 series cards, will they be ignored? I mean if anything the early adopters should get extra bonuses.... why these companies never care about their customers, why? I just bought a 1060... this really sux!
This promotion just started yesterday, so if you did just buy the card you're covered. If not, you're SoL.
These promotions are a way to make buying cards more attractive and to boost sales volume. The fact that this bundle is kicking off now probably means that nVidia feels it's finally handled the early adopter surge and is able to provide cards to retailers fast enough to keep them in stock. Prior to that point there's no need for a bundle because they're already selling cards as fast as they can make them.
come on dude. you know the drill. GTX 1080's and 1070's are now in stock pretty much anywhere you look. Nvidia knows this, and they realize that demand has softened quite a bit. Thats why they do these game bundles, to help get rid of inventory for it's partners.
You will never see Nvidia bundle games on a GPU launch, because they know it's not needed, because demand is always high for the first 2-3 months.
Honestly, the bundle is absolutely worthless to me.
The game is free-to-play. The proposed "value" is of cosmetics and other microtransaction shop items. So let's be clear here, if you aren't into MOBAs and you weren't thinking of playing Paragon anyways, then the bundle here is worthless.
I'd much rather have AMD's bundle of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided as that's actually a good game and was a game that I wanted to pick up eventually when it inevitably goes on sale, so that bundle does offer me some actual _value_.
If anything, the early adopters deserve extra bonuses...
What? Why? Because you lack impulse control?
Every GPU since 200s up has eventually been paired with games. My gtx 580s came with Batman, BF4 AND another game which I don't remember. Assassin's Creed or something... So if you are just soo hot to give them your money, that you refuse to wait for those deals, I don't see why you should be gifted them retroactively.
Just because I had to sell my old card to get any value out of it (gtx 280x) and stayed 3 weeks playing on integrated i5, I dont belong on your described kinda crowd. I needed a card and couldnt wait another month without one, initially i wanted to get the rx 480 but that was too hot and impossible to find at msrp. So i went with 1060, I backordered it on launch day and got it from newegg like a week after for $250.
Nvidia bundles a game and people waiting on a better deal might bite due to the perceived "added value".
Paragon benefits by enticing players who already have free "DLC" content to stick with the game and play, boosting their audience, and therefore the amount of customers whom can purchase stuff from their microtransaction store in coming months.
It makes sense from a business perspective, but not from the consumer's perspective.
Is it a game that really shows off the power of the card you're buying (which I think is what you're getting at)? Maybe not.
But non-overlapping audience? I would have to disagree. Buying a mid or high end GPU doesn't mean those users aren't interested in games that don't fully utilize the card...
well AMD does have a paid contract with Square Enix in which AMD paid money to have AMD products in the game.. Last years AMD NUC is in dues ex, as well as in-game amd banners and ads in the city
Yeah nvidia dropped the ball on this bundle.. Its the worse ha.
I went and checked it out and I am still trying to find this 110$ value they gave me lol. I wouldn't pay more then 30 dollars for this bundle retail Haha.

I don't get this bundle at all. Mid to high end GPU buyers and Paragon players seem like non-overlapping audiences...Minimum spec:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460, AMD Radeon HD 6870, Intel HD Graphics 4600, or equivalent DX11 GPU
Paragon Recommended spec:
Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870 equivalent DX11 GPU

So with the purchase of expensive graphics cards, nvidia is offering digital hats for a free-to-play game?Isn't this the worst bundle ever?
